Teamwork makes the dream work, as CPCC U13 remain unbeaten

Anston U13's v CPCC U13's
So yesterday I read a brilliant post which made lots of sense and actually happened this evening. In my junior career coaches talked to me about temperament, able to bat under pressure, bat long periods, shot selection... today coaches say fast hands & fearless attitude etc....
Anston had 2 quality player's, the opening bowler steamed in and bowled beautifully and castled Zak without troubling the scorers and then Callum & Lilly batted "long" choosing the right shots and with temperament which enabled Clumber to post a great score of 66 fer 5. Superb batting display
Clumber knew we had our work cut out to defend 66.... Then came what was an outstanding bowling display... Zak took revenge and struck in his 2nd over, Evan bowled back 2 back maidens, Lily came on and also bowled back to back maidens, Daniel came on and struck with his 4th ball (the danger man), Tom came on and beat the bat 5 out the 6 balls.... And then Golden arm Jake came on Wicket 1st ball Wicket 2nd ball.... start the cars boys... Outstanding from Jake taking 3 fer 1! Next up Callum, Wicket.... Clumber need 1 more for victory where an Anston player played for us bowled, WICKET!!!! Snikked off where Lily held on.... Que celebrations, unbelievable performance!
Apologies to Lily who had 1 guy plum and I declined to give the LBW, Sorry Lil
Jake celebrated his 3 fer with a trip to starfish!
Thanks for the great support on a freezing night but I'm sure you enjoyed that as much as I did...
Brilliant... UTPU13S
