Young Clumber team on to against experienced rivals.

So in the local derby v Woodsetts the 3rds came out with the lions share of the points in a good little battle... Electing to bat 1st CP soon found themselves in trouble with the top 5 all out cheap, 15 overs gone 44 4 5! I say every week our aim is to bat 46 overs and the score will take care if itself.... Thankfully experience campaigner Darren Edwards (85) obliged and along with Nick Stafford they put on 101 for the next partnership taking us through to the 37th over, useful runs from Zack (8) ensured we batted the 46 overs finishing on exactly 180ao.
We knew the pitch played decent and the outfield was quick so bowling tight and fielding well had to be done.... That's exactly what we did and gave very little room with Fin, Oliver & Zack picking a wicket up a piece whilst Ben Tomlinson picked up 2 fer. Funny game cricket as whilst Harry bowled the best he's bowled all season he came away wicket less but I'd take 13 overs 0 fer 20 all day long!
Couple of poor incidents marred what was a great team performance again but we move on and remain table topping Clumber Park III.
The worst incident happened way after the game where Someone decided to take Paul Allisons clothes home where his car keys was in his pocket leaving Paul sat in Clumber in his pants awaiting the return of both his clothes and car keys. Wish I had a picture of him sat at the locked gates in his pants awaiting on Iris to deliver back his clothes and car keys UTP
