Formally known as the the Grassroots Cricket Awards, the Cricket Collective Awards are a great opportunity to nominate that person at your cricket club who deserves a huge thank you for their effort and dedication over the past 12 months, 10 years or even 50 years!
This year we are pleased to announce that Mike Beard has been recognised under the 'Lifetime Achiever' category.
Mike has been a leading figure at our club for 50 years this year! He has held a variety of playing & officiating positions over the years, including captaining & playing; coaching our juniors; being the club's safeguarding officer; and being chairman for a quarter of a century! Mike has also held positions within our local league & its junior subsidiary. The wide variety of roles outlined means he’s been at the forefront of many developments. Most notably, our transition from social to competitive cricket around the turn of the millennium, and the creation/continued development of our junior section.
Everybody at Clumber Park CC appreciates all the hardwork that Mike has put into our club over the past 50 years and this recognition by the Cricket Collective Awards is most definitely deserved.
Thank you & congratulations, Mike!
