Clumber Park to Start Season with New Leadership

By Owen Jervis

There will be new leadership for CPCC for 2019.

Clumber Park will start the 2019 season with new 1st XI Captain. Leigh Overton, who has transferred from Blidworth CC will captain our first XI in their Division. Leigh will bring experience and added straight to the steam bowling attack.
Andy Trenam will captain the 2nd XI who start in Division 4, Andy promotes youth and will be looking to increase the number of junior section players in this squad.
Chris Ward continues as 3rd XI captain in Division 6 and is looking to improve after a strong finish in 2018. Our 3rd XI continues to build for the future with a high number of junior players in his squad, we are excited to see another crop of youngsters starting in senior cricket.
Our newly formed Mansfield Sunday League Squad will be led by Hayden Cox, who is the youngest captain of a senior team in recent times. Hayden brings a lot of enthusiasm and will be assisted by a number of experienced players, again this team will develop junior talent and are committed to building future leaders.
Maxine Paintain will lead the Clumber Storm, our Women & Girls team, who have fixtures through the summer. The Storm are newly formed in 2019 after a successful launch in 2018.
