Cricket for All in 2018

“Cricket for All at Clumber Park”

A busy summer of cricket is planned at Clumber Park. We have a expended program of cricket this season with additional opportunity to play for anyone who wants to enjoy the sport.

Friendly Cricket

Clumber Park CC was built on the strength of our friendships and friendly cricket, it is part of our heritage.
We have a set of fixtures for friendly cricket that meets the needs of most players. We have invited teams a varying ability this season, filling gaps left by leaving the Newark Alliance League in 2017, adding charity events and a 6 per side tournament. There is something for everyone.

Bassetlaw League

Once again we have 4 teams entered in this completion, playing in Divisions 1,3,7 & 8. Our 1st XI bring energy to the club with signings of young players looking to improve. Our 2nd XI sees a mix of youth and experience under new leadership for 2018 and hope to improve. Our 3rd and 4th teams continue to encourage young players and build for the future. Both teams have ECB CA coaches leading them and our focus will be on the future of the club.

Junior Cricket

We have a full junior program from 4 years to 17. We will have representation in the U11, U13, U15 & U17 age groups with fixtures starting in April.

We will be hosting 8 weeks of All Stars from 12th May, this is an ECB program, where ether players receive kit. This is for the 4-8 year old age range and is great starter for any young player, the focus here is on fun and enjoyment with some skills based activities.

We also have KWIK cricket for the 7-10 year old age group, training on Friday nights, in these sessions we look to bring fun and skills training, the team are entered in a league and play against other clubs.

Ladies Softball Cricket

We will start ladies softball training on Friday nights, this is a first for Clumber Park CC, we will be hosting a competition on Sunday 4th August to promote the sport.
