Cricket Development Week a Great Success Following 2006’s highly successful cricket development week, Clumber again organised another highly successful Cricket Development week in August 2007with over thirty juniors attending each of the days. Players from the ages of 11 to 15 attended the four-hardball days with juniors from Clumber, Milton and Anston cricket clubs attending. The Clumber coaches concentrated on a mixture of basic and advanced batting, bowling and fielding drills throughout the week. The development week again proved successful both for Clumber and for the juniors who defiantly benefited from the expert coaching delivered by our coaches. A huge thank you goes out to all the Clumber coaches and helpers who gave their time on a voluntary basis and made the week such as success. A huge thank you also goes out to the parents and juniors who attended the development week as without your support the week would not have been such a great successful not just for Clumber but also for the juniors that attended. The 2nd annual Clumber Park Cricket Development Week raised over £2000. This money was put to use almost instantly by the club who used the cash to buy a shiny new tractor to assist the Clumber grounds staff to cut our new ground. In 2008 Clumber plan to hold another Cricket development week planned to take place in the summer holidays. Further details will be given on the club website development week so keep an eye out! The club would like to thank Ollie Williams and Rachel Bellamy for their hard work in the organising the event. |
